My daughter’s 8th birthday party at Silly Spoons in Newtown was amazing! The venue was adorable, spotless, and perfect for a child’s cooking class. My daughter’s party was well organized with little down time; the kids loved every step of the cooking they did, from shredding their own cheese for pizza to stirring the pudding to make dirt cups for dessert. As they devoured those dirt cups, there was not a peep to be heard! We can’t wait to go back to Silly Spoons for a cooking class or a summer camp! Highly recommended!

My daughter had the best 7th birthday party ever with Silly Spoons! From the planning, communication, and actual party, Renee and her assistant made everything so easy for me so I could enjoy watching my daughter and her friends have fun making a delish pizza and dessert, and being happy together! Renee was so patient, professional and great with the kids. My family keeps commenting how well everything was run and how delicious the pizza was! I would highly recommend Silly Spoons.

I just had my daughter's 6th birthday party here and had a house full of kids but Renee flawlessly executed the party. They're so great with the kids. The place is really clean. Renee and her partner even took time to quickly clean up after the kids were done with their pizzas and before making the donuts. They were made to follow instructions individually and together as a team and even got cute measuring spoons as favors. Overall, a great place for parties for kids of any age. Highly recommend it!

Renee and Silly Spoons hosted the best 7th birthday for my daughter and her friends. They brought each and every ingredient, kept the girls busy with games and cooking, and cleaned up afterwards. I was thrilled I was able to enjoy the party, take photos and see what the kids created. They did all the work and it was wonderful! The girls loved the lunch and dessert they created. We had my daughters 10th birthday party there over the weekend and it was awesome! The kids enjoyed cooking and baking and especially eating! I had kids as young as 5 and as old as 12 and everything in between and everyone had a great time. They made mac and cheese cups and cupcakes. The ladies there were amazing with all the kids! And I loved that all I had to do was show up, they even supplied favors!!! It was a perfect party I will definitely be back with my kids for another event or one of the cooking classes they offer.

Silly Spoons hosted a great birthday party for my 9 year old daughter and her friends. The ladies were patient with all of the kids and gave instructions that were easy to follow. The girls just loved eating their homemade pizzas and cupcakes. My daughter told me that it was her best birthday party ever! Silly Spoons hosted my daughters 3rd birthday party at McCaffery’s. We had kids from 1.5-8 years old and Renee was very helpful in all the planning of the event, communication and working with a child with food allergies. The day of event they were very friendly, prepared and set up on time, patient with all the kids and engaging, and they did the clean up! My daughter and the other kids all had a great time and I would highly recommend Silly Spoons!

From making the initial arrangements, to the set up, to the party, and to the clean up, Renee made the process of having a cooking party easy and fun. She came up with clever choices that my daughter was able to pick from prior to the party day. When Renee arrived, she had all multiple bowels and cooking supplies to enable each girl to get a chance at cooking together. Additionally, she had a clever art project of decorating the chef hats at the start. This kept the kids engaged as they all arrived. The simple recipe card with her directions kept the girl's right on track. As the delicious macaroni muffins cooked, the girls were giggling as they made the dessert. Of course, what 10 year old doesn't like to mash oreos or make "dirt" pudding? Everything came together perfectly. Not only did each child leave with the extra food that she had made, she left with a cute set of measuring spoons and the recipe cards. My husband loved how when the party was done, all the girls were happy and our kitchen was spotless! He commented on how glad he was that we hired Renee. I would use Silly Spoons again since my daughter was smiling the entire time, all the girls were enjoying themselves, and I wasn't stressed over running a party at home.

We had a wonderful time at our first You & Me baking class today! Thank you Renee! The class was extremely well organized (I loved the recipe cards-wow!), and the preparation, presentation, and planning that went into the class was amazing! My son loved every minute, from decorating his hat, to making his snack, and cracking his first egg. He begged to take more classes! Renee had every minute planned so the kids were busy having fun the whole time. As a mom, watching your child smile the whole time and be so excited to bake his own creations was priceless! Thank you for a wonderful baking experience! We would love to do another class again very soon!

From the start, Ms. Renee was super easy to communicate with. She reached out to several times just to check in before the party. When we arrived for the party, her and her assistant were super polite and immediately greeted the kids! They were very well prepared with ingredients, recipes, and materials ready to go! They even had the mini foil pans labeled with names and kept cupcakes separate by group tables so they got to taste their specific cupcakes. They managed to keep 8 five/six yr olds, 2 three yr olds, and 3 eight to ten yr olds completely focused and to make a yummy product! Within 30 mins of being there, they even remembered all of the kids names ! (and could even tell the difference between two brothers who looked like twins better than me and another parent who know them!!) Everything was perfect timing. When they finished the lasagna rollups (which were so amazing, we came home and made them for dinner using her recipe!). We heard a ton of amazing feedback from parents yesterday. I would 100% recommend Silly Spoons for another birthday party!!
